Jarrod Masuskapoe (he/him) who is "Detest Darren" is an emerging artist from Kahkewistahaw First Nation on Treaty 4 Territory but currently resides in Saskatoon, SK. In 2009, Jarrod started his artistic journey as a hip-hop artist but soon migrated towards punk and rock music which influences his unique view and style. This led to experimenting with sounds and expressing his intentions. In 2019 Jarrod came across a collective called Future Artistic Minds and collaborated on their group album "Many Moods of Hip-Hop”. He continues to hone his craft as a vocalist and performer. Jarrod can be full of craziness when it comes to experimenting with sounds. It’s always just been a hobby. Jarrod plans to find prosperity in the small city of Saskatoon. He is currently working on his self-titled EP "Detest Darren" which he plans to release soon.
