Kyla Head (she/they) is a First Nations artist and graduate of Mount Royal Collegiate. Kyla’s preferred mediums of choice are painting and drawing. They also like to learn new skills and mediums. Kyla gets their inspiration from their emotions and what is going on in their life. Their love for art started from seeing their best friends artwork, which was drawing. They started from drawing which led to painting. Kyla was invited to go to a safe place to do art that was called FAM (future artistic minds) by their teacher and has been a part of the program since it began in 2019. Their love for art was brought back from being in a dark place in their life at the time. Then COVID hit and it became an inspiration to do more art and with all the free time. Their art improved from painting trees to painting portraits and they had their work first displayed at Bridges Art Movement with the collectives first art exhibition and music release.

Kyla IS ACCEPTING COMMISSIONS AND SPECIALIZES IN beadwork.
