Starry Chances

$15.00

Design: Ailah Carpenter (she/they/he)

Digital print on cardstock from Mister Print in Saskatoon. 10 x 6.7”

Original art was made using alcohol markers and sharpie with digital art added on top using Procreate.

About the design: Starry Chances is a multi-stage work, beginning with alcohol markers and office supplies. There are days when I can’t be bothered to plan or build something of much substance and instead have fun with a little doodle or experiment with my art supplies. I drew overtop of a blend of colours, etching in details and later inking in white highlights. I did it all on plain printer paper and wanted to save it forever- so I finished it in Procreate. I intensified some colours, added more details, and finessed my lines- but overall, every busy mark came from Sharpies and alcohol markers!
